Lotus has rolled out a new over-the-air (OTA) software update for Eletre and Emeya owners across Europe, complete with a range of enhancements designed to boost the in-car experience for drivers.

The update introduces new features and optimisations developed from customer feedback and ongoing vehicle development, reinforcing Lotus’ commitment to continuously enhancing its products throughout their lifecycle in line with customer demand.

Among the new features is Active Sound Design, which introduces amplified performance-inspired organic vehicle sounds that respond dynamically to acceleration, deceleration, driving inputs and driving modes, creating a more immersive experience.

Customers will also benefit from Drive Setup, a new convenience feature developed as a direct response to their feedback, which now allows drivers to save and quickly activate frequently used vehicle and driver-assistance preferences with a single tap.

The update also brings a series of safety and usability enhancements. Both Eletre and Emeya receive improved insulation-fault monitoring, enabling earlier detection of potential issues, earlier warnings and automatic system protection.

For Eletre, Lotus has refined fatigue and distraction alert functionality to reduce false alerts while maintaining safety performance.

For Emeya, Auto Hold status is now visible when active, making it easier for drivers to confirm vehicle status in stop-and-go traffic situations.

Auto-‘Brain’: ‘Lotus Hyper Pilot’ launches for Eletre in Germany

As part of the update, Eletre customers in Germany will also gain access to the much-awaited ‘Lotus Hyper Pilot’ functionality, a new assisted-driving feature currently designed for approved motorway routes on the Frankfurt–Stuttgart–Munich corridor, including sections of the A3, A5, A8 and A99 autobahns.

Lotus became only the second global, and first British, automotive manufacturer to secure UN R171 certification in March this year, meaning Eletre can now put its advanced autonomous driving technology in the hands of drivers for every-day use.

‘Lotus Hyper Pilot’ combines lane centring, adaptive speed control and supervised overtaking assistance to help reduce workload during long motorway journeys while keeping the driver responsible for vehicle control at all times.

As part of the release, German customers can also take advantage of complimentary use of the HNP Premium Package during a 12-month window that closes on 29 July 2027.

Customers will receive a notification when their vehicle is ready to download and install the update.
