Mealworm Burgers at Killarney Rally Pestaurant!
This year the Killarney Historic Rally, taking place on Saturday 29th November, will be sponsored by Rentokil Initial which is providing hot mealworm burgers and other delicious treats for hungry spectators.
Following the phenomenal success of Rentokil Initial’s Pestauraunt at the National Ploughing Championships in September, they are bringing insect burgers to the annual Killarney Historic Rally. Also on the menu at the Pestaurant will be salt and vinegar crickets, crispy BBQ mealworms, plain roasted locusts and chocolate-covered mixed bugs.

The annual Rally, the only one of its kind in Ireland solely dedicated to historic-spec cars, is organised by the Killarney and District Motor Club. The Rally will have classic stages like Caragh Lake and Ballaghbeama Gap set to run alongside participants’ favourite Molls Gap.
Rentokil Initial Ireland’s Managing Director Michael O’ Mahoney is from Headford and is a long-time supporter of motorsport in the area. The company’s branding has adorned the Ford Escort Mk2 of Killarney father and son rally team Charlie and Johnny Hickey for years.
