Fleet Car Magazine, in association with Motorcheck.ie, has announced a shortlist of contenders for the 2016 Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards which take place at Clontarf Castle, Dublin, on Friday 6 May 2016.
Forty one different models from fifteen manufacturers feature on the shortlist across the nine categories. Audi and BMW lead the way with five nominations apiece, while Toyota have four, and Jaguar Land-Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo each have three.
Of the nine awards to be presented, a new category for 2016 is Crossover Premium. It is offered alongside the existing Crossover category, reflecting the increasingly broad selection of vehicles being offered in this class. Also returning this year is the Luxury category which incorporates high-end SUVs as well as range topping saloon models.
The next stage for the judging panel, comprising experts with various fields of the motor industry and fleet sectors, is to test-drive the short-listed contenders before casting votes to determine category winners.
A forum entitled ‘Driving Efficiency and Safety in the Fleet Car Sector‘ and featuring speakers covering topics of interest to the fleet and automotive sector, will precede the presentation of the nine awards at the luncheon event at Clontarf Castle on 6 May. For further details and to confirm your place at the awards, please contact the Fleet Car organising team on 094 937 2819 or email enquiries@fleet.ie.
