Additional hybrid engine tops revisions to Toyota C-HR

A slightly revised Toyota C-HR featuring revised styling has gone on sale with prices from €30,620.

The big addition to the facelifted car is a second more powerful hybrid powertrain option which joins the existing 1.8 litre hybrid. The 2.0 litre Hybrid Dynamic Force hybrid features an all-new petrol engine with a high thermal efficiency that sees a gain of 50% in horsepower versus just 10% increase in fuel consumption – quoted at 5.2l/100km (54.3mpg). It generates 184bhp/190Nm and has CO2 emissions of 119 g/km under WLTP measurements.

Meanwhile the existing 122bhp/142Nm 1.8 litre hybrid with 53kW electric motor gets a smaller, lighter and more powerful lithium-ion battery. It boasts CO2 emissions of 109 g/km

Other new developments include LED parabola headlamps as standard on Luna & Sport, while Luna Sport and Sol models get LED BI-PES headlamps. Inside there are improved seat materials while the front passenger seat is now height adjustable. The multimedia system is now Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible and facilities ‘over the air’ software updates to the satnav. 

Within the MyT app connected services a new feature is Hybrid Coaching which provides personalized coaching message to help drivers to increase their EV drive.
