Berman S.p.A. – a leading designer and manufacturer of OEM body components and genuine accessories located in San Benedetto Po (Mantua, Italy) – presents Autostyle 2019, its Special Versions International Competition (16th edition), supported by Auto & Design magazine and Wacom.
Budding young designers from all over the world are invited to take part in the competition and asked to create a special version based on an existing original production or concept car.
Students must choose at least two cars (Urban and Sports/ Crossover) from the selected models in the portfolio. The shortlisted designers will be informed of the models they will be able to choose from for the competition. The proposals submitted will be assessed by the Evaluation Committee, compiled by representatives of car manufacturers and Chief Designers, plus representatives from the automotive media such as Auto & Style (Italy) and Fleet Car (Ireland) which will select the winners (one for each category). The judgement of the panel is final.
Students will be allowed to add accessory components and modify original components, specifically:
- front grille,
- side skirts,
- wheel arches,
- alloy wheels
- modify colours
No modifications whatsoever to the original body panels are permitted. Designers are allowed to apply graphic decorations on the bodywork.
It is not allowed to use any image already processed by others, including those available on the internet.

Completed projects must be submitted by 31 July 2019.
Prizes will be awarded by Berman and by the magazine Auto&Design.
The selected students will attend the awarding giving ceremony which will be held on October in Mantua, Italy.
Material submitted will be not be returned. By submitting the material, participants concede all rights to its use, provided that the name of the author is clearly indicated.
