As greater numbers of people opt to avoid busy airports and the uncertainty posed by volcanic ash by either holidaying in Ireland or taking the ferry overseas, BMW drivers can now avail of a free BMW Summer Safety Check prior to their departure.
Commenting on this initiative Paul Murray, Director of Aftersales in BMW Ireland, said,
“BMW’s are equipped with the technology to monitor their own condition and pre-warn the driver when a service is due. However, it is important to have any car thoroughly checked on an annual basis and especially before a driving holiday. This will ensure that any issues that may arise between services are identified early and resolved before setting off on vacations. Only BMW Service Authorised Workshops have the diagnostic equipment and the highly trained technicians to completely check any BMW and make sure that our customers’ holiday journeys are memorable for the right reasons.”
The Free Summer Safety Check includes:
Check BMW Warranty and Service Inclusive cover
Check for recalls and campaigns outstanding
Check fluid level in brake and clutch hydraulic system
Check battery condition
Check all lights
Check steering oil and condition
Check tyre pressure and thread depth
Check brake fluid according to service indicator
Check engine oil level
Check drive belt condition
Check exhaust condition
Check coolant level
To support this initiative, BMW Ireland have introduced, for a limited time, lower prices on a range of travel related Genuine BMW Accessories such as navigation systems, entertainment systems, roof boxes and roof rails.
