FULL EVENT DETAILS UNVEILED FOR THE 2010 CANARY WHARF LONDON MOTOREXPO
Organisers of the 2010 Canary Wharf London Motorexpo have today announced full details of this summer’s London event – which takes place from Monday 7th to Sunday 13th June and is totally free for the public to attend. The 2010 London Motorexpo marks the 15th annual event to be staged at the stunning and ever growing urban environment of Canary Wharf, London.
Amongst the wide range of cars and motorbikes on display, there are a number of headline grabbing vehicle debuts including the Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible, the BMW 320d EfficentDynamics, the Jaguar XKR with Speedpack, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet and show stopping SLS AMG, the Mazda MX-5 Superlight concept, the Mini Countryman, Saab 9-5, Skoda Superb Estate and the all-new Volvo S60. The 2010 London Motorexpo will also see Infiniti display their full vehicle line-up for the first time at any UK motor show, while an unprecedented number of interactive elements are made available for visitors to enjoy – including a dedicated Can-Am Spyder driving zone and the ever-popular Land Rover Driving Experience, which for this year has been entirely redesigned and moves to a brand new position on Bank Street.
For 2010, the Motorexpo team are delighted to welcome both BEN and UK Youth as official charity partners. BEN – the official automotive charity partner of Motorexpo – have produced a unique Le Mans Zone, featuring brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Porsche from the historic race’s glorious past while Nigel Mansell, the President of UK Youth, will use the event to raise awareness of the fantastic work that the charity undertakes and to promote his extreme cycle challenge, which will see him and his team riding some 1,200 miles throughout the UK, in just 13 days, later this summer.
The 15th annual London Motorexpo is entirely free for visitors to attend, with no tickets or queues to enter and boasts the iconic backdrop of Canary Wharf’s towers as its premium setting. Easily accessible by road, rail, river and air, visitors to the Motorexpo also enjoy a range of excellent facilities with over 200 shops, bars and restaurants onsite at Canary Wharf – making the Motorexpo a great day out for all the family.

Highlights of the 2010 Canary Wharf London Motorexpo will include:
ALFA ROMEO
Showcasing for Alfa Romeo at the 15th annual London Motorexpo will be the stunning, award winning Alfa 8C Spider and the compact, sporty Alfa MiTo MultiAir Cloverleaf which takes design inspiration from the Alfa 8C supercar.
BENTLEY
The new Continental Supersports Convertible is a muscular four-seater with distinctive exterior and interior styling, it is the epitome of open-top motoring, a car that can power effortlessly past 200mph and propel you from a standstill to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds.
BMW
BMW will display a selection of vehicles at Motorexpo, including an M3 Coupé with Competition package, the new 520d SE Saloon and Z4 sDrive35is. Also being showcased is the new 3 Series 320d EfficientDynamics Saloon.
CAN-AM
The 2010 Can-Am Spyder roadster line-up includes the Spyder RS (roadster sport) and Spyder RT (roadster touring) models. Rideable with a car licence, a dedicated Can-Am test drive zone has been prepared for Motorexpo visitors to enjoy.
INFINITI
Infiniti, the UK’s newest luxury automotive brand, squares up to the traditional executive car hierarchy for the first time with the debut at the 2010 Canary Wharf London Motorexpo of the M Line – a powerful, finely crafted, passionately designed alternative to tradition in the performance sedan market.
JAGUAR
Jaguars are proud to be part of Motorexpo and use it as a platform to exhibit their XKR with Speed Pack which was first seen this year at the 2010 Geneva motorshow.
LAND ROVER
Visitors will have the chance to see Land Rover’s latest range and to experience driving in a variety of challenging conditions on their unique demonstration course. Icy surfaces, side slopes and extreme undulations are recreated, giving the opportunity to witness the full capability of these extraordinary vehicles.
LEXUS
Going far beyond ‘mild’ hybrids, the Lexus full hybrid system can run on just petrol or electric power, or a subtle blend of both. To experience the full range and to arrange a test drive, visit the stand on Canada Square Park.
MAZDA
Mazda will showcase their sporty 2010 range: the stylish Mazda2 1.6 Sport, the high performing Mazda3 MPS, the iconic and award winning Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe, the Mazda6 with powerful 2.2D engine, the Mazda CX-7 diesel sport and the Mazda MX-5 Superlight concept.
MERCEDES-BENZ
The highly appealing and emotionally charged Cabriolet is the latest addition to the successful Mercedes-Benz E-Class line-up. The E-Class Cabriolet will join further models from the iconic Mercedes-Benz range, including the all-new SLS AMG, for the premium German brands display at the 2010 Canary Wharf London Motorexpo.
MINI
MINI will be unveiling the new MINI Countryman for the first time in the UK at Motorexpo, a whole three months before market launch. Other cars on display from the MINI line up include models from the sporty MINI John Cooper Works range and a race-ready MINI Challenge.
NISSAN
Nissan’s legendary sports car range will be on display at this year’s Motorexpo in Canary Wharf. The renowned 370z, 370z Roadster and the dynamic GTR will be displayed in Canada Park Square.
