March saw a massive increase in new car Sales compared not only to the previous month but also to March 2010.
The month showed an increase of 78% for passenger vehicles registered in Ireland as against the same month in 2009. This demonstrates a 32% increase year to date.
Commenting on the figures Gabriel Keane, CEO, Windsor Motors stated, “This news is very welcome by our industry. Sales for the industry fell off the edge in 2009 so it is good to receive positive news today for March 2010 Sales. All of these figures demonstrate our industry may be slowly starting to recover and it is certainly a step in the right direction”.
As well as New Car Sales increasing for March, Windsor Motors are delighted to announce that the Nissan Qashqai was the number one selling model for March 2010. The New Qashqai was launched at the beginning of March with a number of new features both internally and externally and has proved to be a popular choice.
The new car Sales were stimulated certainly by the Scrappage incentive from the Government as well as some very good offers and discounts from Distributors.
