Peugeot in Ireland have announced substantial price reductions across the Peugeot passenger car range and have unveiled their new 207 SE Plus and 308 SE Plus models, featuring more even more standard equipment, all in a bid to give customers the best possible package at the lowest price for 2010. Peugeot are further offering a €500 eco bonus on all 207 and 308 hatchback / SW models ordered up to the end of December* to help offset the carbon tax to be announced in December’s budget.
Prices have dropped by an average of €949 across the 207 hatchback range and €2,330 across the 308 hatchback range.

The new 207 SE Plus 1.4 petrol model comes with aircon, alloys, 6 airbags, front electric windows and front fog lamps as standard at a recommended retail price of €16,995 with Category B road tax of €156. The 207 SE Plus HDi diesel version will retail from €17,895 with Category A road tax of €104.
A new Peugeot 308 SE Plus 1.6 HDi 90bhp diesel model has aircon, front fog lamps, 6 airbags, front electric windows, alloys, central armrest and cruise control as standard from €21,450 and Category A road tax of €104.
Des Cannon, National Sales Manager for Peugeot in Ireland, said, “In response to massive commercial pressures from imports, the economic downturn and thousands of job losses in the Irish Motor Industry, all manufacturers have had to realign their pricing to try and kick-start January 2010 motor sales. We have worked very closely with Automobiles Peugeot with regard to giving the customer the very best value for money offering possible and have succeeded in bringing our 207 prices down by over 5% and 308 prices down by nearly 10%, on average.”
