Renault Ireland today announced that it took 11.4% of the Irish passenger car market in April, a fantastic achievement for Renault in Ireland.
Renault was number two last month, after VW and ahead of both Toyota and Ford, marking an historic milestone for the car brand in Ireland.
The Renault Mégane was the best selling diesel car in April and the Clio was the best selling petrol model, in a very competitive class.
Renault Ireland managing director Eric Basset:
“We have reached number two in the Irish car market and this is a big deal for Renault Ireland. This is a huge milestone for us and for our network of dealers around the country who have worked hard to get to number two. Our extended scrappage scheme, combined with the fantastic value available on our Mégane range, the Clio and our new Fluence saloon just launched with 5 years unlimited mileage warranty as standard, have all played a big part in more Renault registrations in April. Renault is now a very visible car brand on Irish roads and we hope to continue with this good run of registrations going forward”.
