• The Ibiza CUPRA is singled out as the “Sporty Car of the Year” in Portugal
• In Finland the SEAT Exeo takes the “Car of the Year 2010” award
• Both models outclass several strong rivals
The SEAT range has recently been awarded with prestigious distinctions that confirm the popularity of its models, and at the same time underline the design, youthful character and sportiness that are characteristic of all the Spanish brand’s cars.
The SEAT Ibiza CUPRA was chosen “Sporty Car of the Year” in Portugal by members of the “Car of the Year – Crystal Steering Wheel Trophy” panel. After winning the “Small Car of the Year” award in 2009 in Portugal, this time the new Ibiza once again stood out over its rivals to win with its sporty CUPRA version equipped with the 180 hp 1.4 TSI engine and seven-speed DSG gearbox.
On the other hand, the SEAT Exeo made a great start to the year after being chosen “Car of the Year 2010” in Finland by the best-selling motoring magazine Tuulilasi. This award demonstrates the great popularity of SEAT’s new estate since its launch.
Editors of the Tuulilasi magazine were responsible for voting their favourite car, and the Exeo was the clear winner with a six-point advantage over second and third place winners Mercedes Benz E and Volkswagen Polo. This exceptional result confirms the leadership of SEAT models as a result of the company’s growing line-up of attractive cars in its range.
