‘No Compromises’ Polo brings new dimension of quality to its class
Volkswagen unveiled their eagerly awaited new Polo today at an event in Kildare’s Carton House. Volkswagen ambassadors, Leinster rugby players Jonathan Sexton and Fergus McFadden, along with Cork’s legendary hurler Seán Óg Ó hAilpín were on hand to tackle the new-look Polo. The sporting stars were delighted to try out the car with all three athletes admiring the Polo’s new image. Leinster outhalf, Sexton commented, ‘Not only does it look great but the driving experience is top class too’.
The new Polo’s extremely efficient drive technologies, best possible active and passive safety systems, a level of quality never before attained in this car class and impressive design all set new benchmarks in the fifth generation of this bestseller. Nothing has been compromised and the dramatic visual and technological changes are set to take the new Polo to the top of its class.
No other car in its class has such a mature and high-end image as the new Polo. Comfort, quality and safety have all taken a considerable leap forward with the Polo, which has been awarded the recently established, stricter and more comprehensive, 5-star EuroNCAP rating.
Commenting on the night, Adam Chamberlain, Head of Sales and Marketing, Volkswagen said: “Volkswagen has invested a huge amount of time and energy into the new Polo which has resulted in dramatic technological advances combined with a fantastic new look. We are delighted with the response to the car from our ambassadors, who really enjoyed their test drive today. We expect the car to be very well received in the Irish market and it has all the tools to become number one in its class”.
