“Volvo has always offered a value for money alternative in the Irish premium car market. We know from the experience with Flexifuels that outstanding value is still attractive even in these more difficult economic times”, states Adrian Yeates, Sales & Marketing Manager for Volvo Car Ireland. “That is why we are offering what is an outstanding value for money offer to customers”, he added.
3 year/ 100,000km Warranty
Servicing and maintenance cost is an important part of the car purchase decision and that is never truer than at the moment. To support Volvo customers, Volvo Car Ireland is delighted to announce that with effect from Model Year 10 cars (MY10)¹, all Volvo cars first registered in the Republic of Ireland will benefit from a 3 Year/ 100,000km warranty. The standard international warranty is 2 Years. This enhancement gives Irish customers all the benefits and reassurance of the manufacturers warranty and extends it to 3 years. A 2 year warranty is still the norm amongst premium car brands so this enhancement will give valuable additional reassurance to Volvo customers and will help budget for the cost of motoring over the typical 3 year ownership period of a new car.
Prices realigned on key models – savings up to €11,000.
Cost of ownership is made up of many factors, but the initial purchase price is key. Volvo Car Ireland today announces substantial price reductions across the Volvo C30, S80, V70 & XC90 ranges. The following are examples:-

And when you factor in the higher specification of Volvo’s compared to their premium competitors, the value is outstanding. For example the stylish Volvo C30 has Electronic Climate Control and DSTC as standard, not to mention the 3 year/ 100,000km warranty. If you choose the 1.6D Start/ Stop variant it produces just 99g/ km of CO2 (which means fuel consumption of just 3.8L/ 100km).
If your need is luxurious cruising then the standard specification on the €40,230 Volvo S80 2.0D SE executive saloon includes full leather seating and a power drivers seat in addition to all the usual things you would expect from a Volvo.
The archetypal large estate is the Volvo V70 which has just got even better value by €3,750 for the 2.0 litre and larger engines and €2,750 on the new and very frugal 1.6D. Sipping just 4.9 L of diesel per 100 km but winning plaudits around Europe for its smooth and torquey engine the V70 is the right car for modern active families.
However if 7 seats is what you need, then the Volvo XC90 just became a whole lot easier on the pocket with a whopping €11,000 price reduction across the range. The XC90 has always been recognised as one of the very best 7 seater family vehicles both here in Ireland and throughout the world and with a price now starting below €59,000² it represent seriously good value as well.
